- Clean vase, bottle or can
- White sugar
- Water
- plastic film
- Sodium bicarbonate
- Paper towels

Procedure
- Preparation of the green onions Remove the yellow and rotten leaves from the green onions. This part will not be preserved well and may affect the rest.
- Vase method
- Prepare a vase or any clean bottle or can.
- Add a small amount of white sugar to the bottom of the vase.
- Place the green onions vertically in the vase, as if they were a bouquet of flowers, and fill the vase with water until just the roots are covered.

- Place the cut onions in a fresh-keeping bag and seal well.
- Store the bag in the freezer. Frozen onions will stay fresh for a long time and will be ready to use at any time.
- It is important not to defrost the onions before using them, to prevent them from becoming soft and dark.
