Exquisite marinated wings
Ingredients
6 guajillo chiles
1 cup orange juice
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1 tablespoon honey
1/4 stick of achiote
15 chicken wings, cleaned and feathered
Salt and pepper
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Oil for frying
Preparation
- SOAK the chiles in boiling water, let them soften and remove the stem, seeds and veins.
- BLEND the chiles with the achiote, vinegar, honey, orange juice; season with salt, pepper, onion and garlic powder.
- POUR the marinade into a container and place the wings, stir until they are covered and let them marinate in the refrigerator for half an hour.
- PUT a little oil in a saucepan, add the wings and fry until lightly browned.
- LINE a baking sheet with wax paper, spread out the wings and bake for 20 minutes or until perfectly cooked.
Skip step 5 by pre-cooking the wings in boiling water before marinating them.
