How to clean burnt pan rings? 2 simple and effective tips
Gas burners clogged with grease are a daily occurrence for those who cook a lot. Although they may seem difficult to clean, the task is not as difficult as you might think, provided that cleaning is done regularly . Here are some tips for quick, simple and, above all, effective cleaning.
Two tips for cleaning gas burners
1. Marseille soap
For this trick you will need:
- 2 liters of water
- A used soft-bristled toothbrush
- A large basin
- Marseille soap
- White vinegar
Marseille soap has many cleaning properties to remove stubborn stains from your gas stove, but also to maintain a house and to clean and shine dirty floors. With this white vinegar mixture, it will help you shine your gas burners.
How to do it?
To better enjoy the virtues of Marseille soap, you can grate it to make flakes. Then bring a pan of water to the boil to dissolve the soap. Once you have obtained a homogeneous solution, pour it into a basin and add the white vinegar.
Once the mixture is made, all you have to do is immerse the burners of the gas stove in the container and let the solution act for 30 minutes. Then scrub the stubborn stains with the used toothbrush and let the burners soak again for another 5 minutes. Finally, rinse the burners with clean water and use a clean cloth to dry them.
Since it is important to maintain your appliance regularly, it will be up to you to clean it once a week . If your gas burners are particularly dirty, you can try the following solution made from the formidable duo of white vinegar and sodium bicarbonate.
2. White vinegar and baking soda for very dirty gas burners
White vinegar and baking soda, the flagship products of household cleaning, need no introduction. Against stubborn marks, baking soda will act as an astringent and antibacterial to deeply remove dirt .
For this you will need:
- White vinegar
- Baking soda
- From 2 L of water
- From a sponge
To use these two ingredients on your very dirty stovetops, boil the water and add a dose of baking soda and white vinegar. Pour the solution into a basin of water, immerse the dirty gas burners in it and let them soak for about 2 hours, or even overnight if you can. All you have to do is remove the gas burners from the basin before wiping them with a sponge, taking care to scrape them vigorously before drying them.
How to clean other components of the gas stove?
As with gas burners, you can apply the same treatment to the plates, knobs and the grid, as part of regular cleaning.
The plates:
Mix a little baking soda with hot water and then dip a sponge in it and wipe it over the dirty plate. White vinegar will work if the splashes and grease residue have formed encrusted stains on the enamel surface. After applying the vinegar, rinse with hot water and then dry the plates with a microfiber cloth.
The buttons:
Even if the buttons are far enough away from food, liquid or grease splashes, they are not immune to them. In this case, you will only need dishwashing liquid on a damp sponge to scrub the buttons.
The grids:
For daily maintenance, simply immerse the grids in your dishwasher with the rest of the kitchen items. For monthly maintenance, you can soak the grids in a basin of white vinegar.
