Ingredients

  • 500g boiled and peeled potatoes
  • 1 egg
  • 20g breadcrumbs
  • 70g cheese (you can use cheese of your choice)
  • 140g parmesan cheese
  • Ham slices
  • Breadcrumbs for the coating.

Instructions

Preparation:
Start by preparing the boiled and peeled potatoes. Make sure they are cooked through and then peel them.
In a large bowl, place the cooked and peeled potatoes. Add an egg and mix well to combine the ingredients. Add 1/2 cup of cheese and the breadcrumbs to the mixture. Mix again until all ingredients are well incorporated. This will create a tasty potato dough.
Sprinkle a work surface with breadcrumbs, covering evenly. Place the potato mixture on top of the breadcrumbs and carefully spread out into an even rectangle.
Place slices of ham on the spread mixture and then add cheese to taste. Make sure to distribute them evenly over the entire surface.
Carefully roll the potato mixture onto itself, forming a roll. Make sure the ham and cheese filling is tightly wrapped inside.
Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F) so it will be ready when the roll is prepared.
Place the filled potato roll on a baking sheet and bake at 190°C (375°F) for about 30 minutes, or until golden and crispy on the outside.
Once ready, remove the roll from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before cutting into slices. This will allow the flavors to settle and make it easier to serve.
