Don’t throw away your eggshells anymore. Rich in minerals, they are very useful in the garden and at home by effectively replacing green sponges.
It’s amazing what you can do with eggshells! Did you know? Here are 6 tips that will make you see empty eggshells in a different light!
1 – A NAIL STRENGTHENER
Are your nails damaged, sad, or not growing properly? To strengthen them in a 100% natural (and free!) way, it’s simple: crush an eggshell (that you have washed before), and mix it with your nail polish. When you apply it, your nails will automatically be strengthened. Magic!
2 – TO PROTECT YOUR PLANTS FROM BRANCH ROT
Wondering what eggshells are used for in the garden? Here’s another use for eggshells in the garden. It’s a great way to provide them with extra calcium carbonate. Scatter crushed eggshells around your vegetable garden plants. This trick is especially effective for tomato plants and cucumbers (these plants are prone to blossom end rot).
3 – TREAT SMALL SUPERFICIAL WOUNDS
The membrane in the eggshell is a great bandage for your minor cuts. It is naturally antimicrobial and will help with healing. Peel off the membrane, cover and let dry.
4 – HOME CLEANER
By crushing dried eggshells and mixing them with a little water and soap, you will obtain a natural and effective abrasive for cleaning pots, plates and even floors and counters!
5 – FOR THE FACE
For a great natural exfoliant, mix 2 tablespoons of eggshell powder with one egg white. Apply to face and leave on for 10 to 15 minutes. Wash off with warm water, using a circular motion to exfoliate.
6 – DECLUTTER YOUR TIRED PIPES
To clean your pipes and improve drainage, you can easily recycle your eggshells. To do this, crush them and mix them with soap and hot water.
Pour it all down your drains to help them digest.
