Welcome Tips Learn How to Use Coffee Grounds to Fertilize Orchids

Orchids are hardy and undemanding. As proof, the hardiest of them can live and flower without fertilizer for several years.

ORCHID CAFFEINE DRINK

  • First of all, make yourself a cup of hot coffee. And not only for the cake, but also for personal pleasure. I prefer to work with flowers only in a good mood.
  • Now that you have coffee grounds, dry them and pour them into a separate jar. Wet grounds get moldy very quickly, even if you store them in the refrigerator. And in dry form, they will last a long time.
  • Dissolve 100 g of coffee grounds in 3 liters of decanted water. And let it sit for another 5 hours.
  • During this time, the water will color a little, but not much. Strain it for a coffee infusion.
  • Place the pot in a basin and fill it with coffee vinaigrette. Orchids are bathed rather than watered. If you have peat bark, simply spread the infusion throughout the plant. If there is only one bark, leave it in the infusion for 15 minutes to soak the bark.
  • Let the liquid drain completely. Ready!
  • A very effective remedy. But it is often not worth using it, preferably only in cases where the orchid does not bloom for a long time. Or once or twice in winter.
  • Did you know that coffee grounds are a very nutritious medium? The germination of some seeds is accelerated several times if you use coffee grounds. A large number of stimulating micronutrients do their job. Therefore, do not deny your orchids a coffee treat!
