The washing machine makes too much foam, how to fix the disaster
What is the correct remedy to prevent the washing machine from making too much foam while washing the laundry? Here is the solution.
When you use too much detergent, you run into a major problem: the washing machine, while washing the laundry, produces too much foam. Obviously, this is an inconvenience and you cannot properly clean everything that is in the drum. How to quickly solve the situation?
Using a lot of soap does not clean better, yet many people have this mistaken belief. Using too much soap, on the other hand, only causes problems. In fact, too much detergent accumulates on the clothes, leaving them dirty, and also clogs the appliance, causing damage. It is necessary to remove all the foam easily. How?
How to remove too much foam accumulated in the washing machine during washing
How do you remove too much foam accumulated in the washing machine? You need to use fabric softener. Fabric softener is used because this product has surfactants that are opposite to those of the detergent. This means that, when in contact, the two surfactants react and cancel each other out. It is no coincidence that these are inserted into two different doors. But that’s not all.
Excess detergent can stain clothes, so it performs the opposite function to that for which it is indicated. And that’s not all, because too much detergent can cause damage to fabrics, even holes and impregnate the clothes and the drum with a bad smell. You must always respect the indicated doses, without exaggerating. Better a little less than more.
To eliminate the foam in the drum we can act in different ways. For example, we can pour coarse kitchen salt into the detergent tray, or interrupt the cycle, open the door and pour the coarse salt directly, restarting the program. Salt performs a cleaning action, removes stains from clothes, softens fabrics and also combats the formation of limescale.
Otherwise, we can use white vinegar, just fill the detergent tray with vinegar and start the rinse. The vinegar will absorb the foam, neutralizing the detergent residues. Also in this case, we can pour the vinegar directly into the drum, say a liter, and start the wash cycle at 90°, to eliminate bad smells
