Poached, fried or even in an omelette, eggs are an integral part of our diet. The different ways to prepare them allow us to eat them regularly without getting tired of them. Unfortunately, cooking eggs can sometimes be quite tricky. And some mistakes are common even though they can completely change the taste of this delicate food. Worse still, they can alter the nutritional value of the egg.

Used to cooking with a frying pan, you are used to making eggs like this for your impromptu brunch with your lover. However, the cooking time for this food recipe is random. We are at a loss. Should we wait until it turns black? Our answer is no! On the one hand, it can create bad taste sensations. Then, in the long term, serious illnesses can result.
2 – DO NOT KEEP THEM COOL
When it comes to storing eggs, there are two schools of thought: the old-fashioned way, in the cupboard, or in the fridge. When you don’t have a pantry, the fridge is highly recommended. How do you store them once they’re in the fridge? “Keep the eggs in their carton and away from any odorous foods: the shell is porous, which can give them an unpleasant taste,” explains Franklin Reinhard, manager of the restaurant Eggs and Co.
3 – COOKING EGGS IN THE MICROWAVE
Fancy a cocotte egg or a quick hard-boiled egg? The temptation is great to use your microwave, but be careful! Some foods should never be heated in the microwave… While this technique may seem practical and harmless, it can actually present risks. Your eggs may swell and explode when you dip a fork or spoon in them. You could also burn your mouth and, if repeated, the explosion can leave hearing damage due to its very high noise level.
4 – NEGLECTING THE COLD WATER STEP BEFORE COOKING EGGS
Very often, we have a lot of trouble peeling eggs. And even if we invent and test all the techniques imaginable to achieve this, everything does not always work as we would like. To peel eggs easily and very effectively, the secret is to let them soak in cold water before cooking them. Let them cook for the time necessary to boil then plunge them again into cold water to stop the cooking. All you have to do then is let them cool before removing the shell. Thanks to these different tips, the membrane will easily come off the egg white!
