Grow Mint in a Cup to Decorate Your Home and Add Fragrance

By Lilias

Fresh flavor, pleasant smell and medicinal virtues are assured with mint, this plant, with aromatic leaves and honey-producing flowers, is the most used in the world! Very resistant, it is grown wherever it can find a little humidity. Today we will explain how to plant peppermint in cups.

Ingredients

  • Large ceramic mug
  • Painter’s tape
  • Drill with drill bit
  • Pass
  • Earth
  • Water
  • Peppermint seeds

Instructions

  1. Turn your cup over, stick a piece of tape on it and mark two “X”s to pierce the bottom and make the small holes that will serve as a drain.
  2. Prepare the soil with the compost and put it in the bowl. You can water it a little to moisten it.
  3. Add a few peppermint seeds (not too many) and cover with soil. I recommend not putting the seeds in too deep, as this could hinder their growth.
  4. You can add a toothpick with a label to see which plant you have planted. Little by little, you will notice that your plant is growing, and if you wish, you can transplant it to another larger area such as a pot or garden.
  5. Water the cup when you notice that the soil is dry, as being a small space could accumulate moisture. Avoid this by watering occasionally and placing your plant in a place where it receives light at dawn and shade at dusk.
