  • Are you a tanning addict? If you spend a lot of time in the sun without applying sunscreen, your spots could be lentigines. To get rid of this type of hyperpigmentation, you’ll need to limit your sun exposure and use topical treatments. Are you currently taking any medications? Are you pregnant, on the birth control pill, or undergoing hormone therapy? If so, your spots could be melasmas. Brown spots

  • Considered a sign of aging in the same way as wrinkles, brown spots usually appear on the face, neck, back, hands and shoulders. While these sun spots mainly affect people over 40, they can sometimes appear in younger people due to intense and prolonged exposure to the sun.

Note that only a dermatologist is able to tell the difference between the two. Although they do not represent any danger to health, brown spots are often perceived as unsightly. It is then possible to reduce their appearance thanks to an appropriate treatment.

Oatmeal and lemon mask

  • Another very effective product for this type of problem is ground oats. With a little lemon, you get an ideal mask to remove spots from the skin.
  • To do this, mix a spoonful of oatmeal with half a spoonful of lemon juice. Mix until smooth and apply to the stains. Leave on for 20 minutes and wash with warm water. You can repeat this up to twice a week.
