THE NATURAL TRAP AGAINST FLIES, MOSQUITOES AND OTHER INSECTS
1- Cut a plastic bottle in half with a knife.
2- Remove the cap from the bottle and place the smaller part, upside down, inside the larger part.
3- Take a medium-sized plastic jar and make holes in the sides of it.
4- Insert perforated rubber or plastic stoppers into the holes of the jar to attract insects.
5- In the jar, place 2 tablespoons of barley malt, honey or brown sugar to attract insects.
6- Repeat the previous step in the bottle you use as a base.
7- Add 1 teaspoon of yeast to the mixture in the jar to activate the production of carbon dioxide.
8- Pour a glass of warm water into both the jar and the bottle.
9- Mix well and wait.
10- Close the jar with its lid and the base of the bottle with the neck cut off.
11- Done! Your natural trap for flies, mosquitoes and other insects is ready to use.
12- You can place it at home or in the garden (if it’s in the garden, remember to lift the lid of the jar).
13- Other effective methods include filling clear plastic bags with water and hanging them to scare away flies with the images reflected in the water.
14- You can also plant plants such as citronella, bay leaves, basil, mint, lavender or marigold on your balcony to repel insects.
15- A mixture of milk, vinegar and sugar heated for 15 minutes and placed in containers on the balcony or terrace can also keep insects away.
