Avocado is one of the best and healthiest fruits that we can regularly include in our diet. Let’s see in this article some tips for ripening an avocado.
Unfortunately, between “not ripe enough” and “too ripe”, the line is sometimes difficult to discern… We are going to give you some tips to speed up the ripening of an avocado, so that you can eat it quickly. No product, no voodoo incantation (!), just a few simple and effective methods, without having to buy anything!
You already have everything you need on hand.
Necessary material: A piece of aluminum foil and an oven.
Instructions: Wrap your avocado in aluminum foil and place it on a baking sheet. Bake in a preheated oven at 100°C for about 10 minutes (depending on how hard the animal is).
Remove the avocado from the oven, let it cool and then unwrap it. If all goes well, it will be perfectly ripe, firm and slightly creamy. For the short scientific explanation: the aluminum foil helps to trap the ethylene gas produced by the avocado and responsible for ripening.
