Take some baking soda or vinegar. I’ll show you how to make your shoes smell like new after one night. Plus, you won’t have to wash them often anymore.
Every day, our shoes take us everywhere we want to go. And sometimes, when you take off your shoes, you may smell like you’ve walked a lot. Your smelly shoes are doomed to stay in the hallway, just so you don’t have to smell them. But a better solution would be to get rid of the smell completely.
The Cause
There are all sorts of dander, dirt, bacteria, and fungal growths inside your shoes. Especially the last two contribute to the smell of your shoes. When you walk, your feet get warm.
That’s when bacteria and fungus thrive. You can’t stop bacteria and fungus from multiplying in your shoes, but you can, however, get rid of the smell in your shoes. To learn more, keep reading.
- Baking Soda
If you put some baking soda in your shoes, it will absorb all the odors coming from the inside of your sneakers. Leave it on for 24 hours and then vacuum the inside of your shoes to remove the baking soda.
Your shoes will smell as good as new after this.
- Vinegar
Another solution is vinegar. Mix some vinegar and dishwashing liquid in a bowl and soak a cloth in it.
Then, place the damp cloth in your shoe and leave it there overnight. The next day, the smell will be completely gone.
