- Sodium to Refresh Your Home
Cleanliness and a pleasant aroma in my bathroom are essential for me. An excellent option that I discovered is baking soda, which not only eliminates unpleasant odors but also disinfects the space. Here are two effective recipes:
First Option:
- 1 cup baking soda
- 1 teaspoon vinegar
- 1/4 cup citric acid
- 1 tablespoon hydrogen peroxide
- A few drops of essential oil
Preparation Process:
- Mix the baking soda, citric acid, hydrogen peroxide and vinegar in a container.
- After mixing, add a few drops of essential oil.
- Apply small amounts of this mixture on a paper and let it dry for a few hours.
- Then, place the resulting tablets in the toilet cistern.
- When you flush the toilet, you’ll enjoy a pleasant aroma and a crystal-clear toilet bowl.
Second Option:
- Baking soda
- Citric acid
- Essential oils
Preparation Process:
- Mix baking soda and citric acid in a 1:3 ratio.
- Add 30 to 40 drops of essential oil (mint, lemon, orange, etc.).
- Gradually add water until you get a clay-like consistency.
- If you wish, you can add food coloring.
- Form balls with the mixture and let them dry for 24 hours.
- These balls can be used as air fresheners in different areas of your home.
