Clothes on the radiator are dried in this way to avoid creating humidity
Before explaining how to dry clothes on the radiator without creating humidity, let’s take a quick look at the rules to follow during washing.
Increase the rotation speed to remove as much water as possible.
Don’t use too much detergent, it will settle between the fibers and slow down the drying process, absorbing bad odors due to condensation.
Prepare a natural fabric softener based on:
10 drops of essential oil of your choice,
150 grams of citric acid,
1 liter of water.
Use it with every wash and remember to empty the drum immediately after the cycle is finished, otherwise your clothes will smell of stagnant water.
And now, let’s proceed with the formulation of the garments.
To begin, make sure that the room where you decide to hang the clothes has adequate air circulation, that is, that it has windows. Keep them open so that the wind can penetrate, avoiding the formation of condensation. But close the door, so you don’t bring the cold to all parts of the house.
Don’t stack them on top of each other. Instead, put them on the radiator only when they are still wet, not immediately after taking them out of the washing machine. Arrange a few at a time and spread them out, better to equip yourself with a special clothes horse or some hangers, they will dry faster and will not get creased less.
They will also breathe better and will not acquire unpleasant odors.
If you have a clothes horse, rotate them to speed up the operation even more.
To dehumidify the air, in the absence of a special device, use salt. All you have to do is fill a basin and place it at the foot of the radiator. Replace it when you see it starting to liquefy.
