Want to get rid of the stale tobacco smell in your house or bad odors in your car? Here’s how to make a natural air freshener to freshen the air!

Who doesn’t want their home to be clean and smell fresh? But the products commonly used to clean furniture, refresh sports equipment, and eliminate unwanted odors are air fresheners made from toxic, chemical-based substances, and whose effect is not long-lasting because they only mask odors.

Stop wasting your money on dangerous air fresheners that can harm your health and that of your loved ones! You can make your own natural air freshener to freshen the smell of your home and get rid of unwanted odors!

Here’s how to make a natural air freshener with just 3 ingredients and no side effects:

Ingredients :

– 1 spray bottle (1L)

– 1L hot water

– 4 tablespoons baking soda

– 4 to 5 drops of essential oil of your choice (lavender, lemon, vanilla…)

Instructions :

– In the bottle, pour the water and add the baking soda and essential oil (if 5 drops don’t release enough scent, you can add a few drops but keep your hand light).

– Then shake the bottle to mix the ingredients well. Your natural air freshener is ready!

Why is this natural air freshener so effective?
Essential oils :
Disinfectant and antibacterial, essential oils eliminate bacteria and microbes. Thanks to their antiseptic and deodorant properties, they clean and refresh the air in your home. Choose them to avoid using chemical and unhealthy air fresheners!

Baking soda :
Baking soda is one of the most used products for cleaning, beauty, cooking… This white powder is characterized by a particular structure that can neutralize and trap unwanted odors. On the other hand, its use helps reduce the spread and development of fungi and bacteria responsible for bad odors!

Note that baking soda is also effective for whitening clothes, degreasing surfaces, sanitizing toilets, removing pesticide residues from fruits and vegetables… and the list of its uses for the home is still long!

Warnings:

– It is imperative to dilute your essential oil, whatever the use.

– Before spraying your natural air freshener in your home, test it on the back of your hand, sprinkling a small drop on the skin, to see if any negative effects appear (abnormal reaction, redness, etc.). If an allergic reaction occurs, discontinue use of essential oils. In fact, these can cause very serious allergies in some people.

– When using this natural deodorant, avoid direct contact with eyes, skin and mucous membranes. Remember to wear rubber gloves!

– Essential oils are strictly not recommended for children, pregnant women and animals, as they can cause health problems (poisoning by inhalation or ingestion).
