How to clean window frames with white vinegar?
When cleaning your windows, don’t forget to clean the edges and plastic frames as well. These are the ones that tend to accumulate the most dirt and become covered in unsightly stains over time. The culprits are none other than dust, dirt build-up, humidity, rainwater and often even cigarette smoke. That’s why they also require regular cleaning and proper maintenance. Tell yourself that the longer you put off this job, the harder it will be to remove the yellow stains. However, even certain “magic” products on the market will not be able to eradicate them completely. Also, as soon as you notice the appearance of these unsightly traces, you can count on the cleaning potential of white vinegar. It doesn’t seem like much, but this colorless liquid is a real champion when it comes to cleaning. It’s no coincidence that it has always been one of our grandmothers’ favorite products. Stain remover, bleach, disinfectant, deodorant… and the list of its properties is still long. Thanks to its stain-removing power, you can say goodbye to yellow stains and your windows will shine with cleanliness!

To optimize its effectiveness, you must mix it with certain ingredients. No need to take out your wallet, you probably already have everything in stock. Here are the steps to prepare and apply this reliable and non-toxic home remedy.

Mix 1/3 cup white vinegar, 1 cup water, a few drops of dish soap and 2 tablespoons of lemon juice.
Pour the solution into a spray bottle.
Shake the bottle well before spraying the solution on the window frames.
Leave it to act for a few minutes and gently rub the surface with a clean sponge.
Finally, wipe the area with a cloth moistened with water to remove excess product.
Note: it is worth remembering to avoid strong preparations to clean your frames. Contrary to what it may seem, this plastic surface is very delicate and can easily be damaged if you attack it with products that are too strong. That is why our preparation is perfectly dosed and will be suitable for gently cleaning it. The icing on the cake: in summer, white vinegar sprayed on these surfaces will help repel all kinds of pests, such as mosquitoes, flies, moths and spiders that try to enter your home.
