Ingredients
1250g peaches
60g sugar
30ml lemon juice
Enough water
Preparation
First, wash the peaches, divide them in half, then, after slicing them, cut them into pieces (there is no problem with the size).
Now take three 600ml jars (or 1 litre jars), fill them with peaches and sprinkle each jar with a spoonful of lemon juice to prevent them from turning brown.
Once this is done, add the stevia sweetener (or sugar), pouring a spoonful into each glass at a time. If you don’t like this step, you can skip it.
Now fill the jars with water, making sure not to reach the rim, then close them with new caps using the “2 back, 1 front” technique.
Now place the jars upside down in a saucepan half full of water, turn on the heat and let it all boil.
Finally, let it cook for another 15 minutes, then turn off the heat and let the jars soak for 2 hours, then dry them, turn them upside down, cover and let them cool.
Tips and advice
If sealing the lids doesn’t work, put the jars back on the boil for 10 minutes and let them sit in the hot water. Otherwise, you will have to change the lids and repeat the process. To check this once everything is cooked, place the jars on the work surface. If the fruit does not move and remains upright, everything is fine.
