Bananas: Never throw this part away. Use it like this! It’s worth its weight in gold

By Lesia

Banana peels, often discarded, have surprising uses! Here are a few ways to put them to good use:

  • Plant Fertilizer: Banana peels are rich in potassium, phosphorus, and calcium, making them excellent natural fertilizers. Simply bury them around the base of your plants or add them to your compost bin.

  • Skincare: Some people claim that rubbing the inside of a banana peel on their skin can help soothe bug bites, minor burns, and even acne.

  • Shoe Shine: Rub the inside of a banana peel on leather shoes to give them a natural shine.
  • Plant Food: Banana peels can be used to make a liquid fertilizer. Simply peel and chop the bananas, then boil them in water. Let the mixture cool and strain it. Use this liquid to water your plants.

Disclaimer: While these uses are often touted, scientific evidence for some of these benefits may be limited.

I hope this helps!
