Spicy Puff Pastry with Minced Meat and Cheese is a delicious and versatile dish that is perfect for entertaining guests, a family dinner, or even a quick weekday lunch. Here is a recipe to help you make this delicacy:

Ingredients:

1 package of puff pastry (approx. 275 g)
500 g minced meat (pork, beef or mixed)
1 onion
2 cloves of garlic
1 red bell pepper (or other color)
1 green bell pepper (or other color)
150 g grated cheese (e.g. cheddar, mozzarella, trappista)
1 egg (for brushing the dough)
Olive oil
Salt, pepper, red pepper, oregano, basil, chili (to taste)
Preparation:

Preparation of the filling:
Chop the onion and garlic, dice the peppers.
Heat olive oil in a pan and sauté the onion.
Add the minced meat and fry until white.
Add the peppers, spices and simmer until the peppers are soft.
Add half the grated cheese and mix.
Let the filling cool.

Prepare the puff pastry:
Roll out the puff pastry and roll it into a rectangle.
Spread the filling evenly over the pastry, leaving approx. 2 cm free at the edges.
Roll up the pastry like a strudel.
Cut the roll into slices approx. 2 cm thick.
Baking:

Place the slices on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
Beat the egg and brush the top of the pastry with it.
Sprinkle the remaining grated cheese on top.
Bake in an oven preheated to 180°C for approx. 25-30 minutes until the pastry is golden brown.

You can also add other vegetables to the filling, such as mushrooms, zucchini or corn.

Instead of a roll, you can also make small buns or triangles.
