Do you have torn cleaning gloves and plan to throw them in the trash? Don’t do it! Here are several useful tricks to reuse those gloves and give them a second life.
Not only are these tips practical, but they will also help you save money and reduce waste.

Materials Needed
To put these tricks into practice, you’ll need:
- Torn cleaning gloves
- Scissors
- Wine bottles
- Bottles and containers
- Oil, cream, or other liquids
- Broomsticks
- Garbage bags
- Cutting boards
- Cables and carpets
Procedures
Trick 1: Wine Bottle Caps
- Preparation: Cut the fingers off the cleaning gloves with scissors.
- Cleaning: Wash the cut pieces thoroughly to make sure they are clean.
- Use: Use one of the pieces as a lid for wine bottles. Place your glove finger on the bottle and fold the excess inwards. This will keep the wine fresh and retain its flavor.
Trick 2: Protection for Travel Jars
- Preparation: Cut another part of the gloves.
- Use: Place the piece on the lid of the bottles of cream, oil or other liquids before storing them in your suitcase. This will prevent them from unclogging and spilling during the trip.
Trick 3: Broomstick Repair
- Preparation: Take a cut piece of the glove.
- Use: If your aluminum broomstick has lost its plastic protection, place the glove piece on the end. This will prevent you from cutting yourself on the edge of the tube.
Trick 4: Secure Trash Bags
- Preparation: Cut a strip of the glove.
- Use: Place the strip around the mouth of the trash can to secure the trash bag. This will prevent the bag from slipping when you throw away the trash.
Trick 5: Prevent the Cutting Board from Moving
- Preparation: Cut several elastic bands from the glove.
- Use: Place a band on each end of the cutting board to prevent it from moving while you use it. This will provide a more stable surface for cutting.
Trick 6: Organize Cables
- Preparation: Cut a strip of the glove.
- Use: Use the strip to bundle and secure loose cables, keeping them organized and preventing tangles.
