Shrimps with garlic and honey
Ingredients:
50 g honey – 30 ml soy sauce
1 tablespoon chopped garlic
1 tbsp chopped ginger (optional)
500 g raw shrimp (peeled and deveined if possible)
2 teaspoons olive oil
spring onion for garnish (optional)
Preparation:
Mix the honey, soy sauce, garlic and ginger in a medium-sized bowl.
Place the shrimp in a large sealed plastic bag or Tupperware, then pour half the marinade over the shrimp.
Shake or stir well.
Marinate shrimp in refrigerator for at least 15 min.
Cover and chill the rest of the marinade for the next step.
Heat the oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat.
Place the shrimps in the pan and pour in the marinade.
Cook the shrimp on one side, until they are no longer pink. This takes about 45 seconds. Then turn them over to the other side.
Pour the remaining marinade over the shrimp and simmer until cooked through, about 1 min.
Serve the shrimps with the marinade reheated in the pan.
