HOMEMADE STRAWBERRY RICE 😋
Ingredients :
500 grams of strawberries
100 grams of sugar
240 ml cold whipping cream or whipped cream
3 egg yolks
Preparation :
1. First we need to clean the fresh strawberries and then cut them in half.
2. We pass the strawberries through the blender until completely crushed, as if it were a milkshake.
3. In a saucepan, heat a few glasses of water over medium-high heat until it boils.
4. In a heat-resistant glass bowl we put the yolks together with the sugar.
5. When the water in the saucepan starts to boil, reduce the heat to minimum and place the bowl with the yolks on the saucepan.
In this way we prepare the mixture in the water bath.
6. We start beating the yolks together with the sugar with a hand blender until we see that the color changes between whitish and yellowish.
This takes about 5 minutes. Remove the bowl and allow the mixture to come to room temperature.
7. In the meantime, we put the cream in another bowl.
To do this, we pour in the cream, which must be very cold.
8. We beat with the hand blender for 3-4 minutes until peaks form.
9. We gradually add the whipped cream to the container with the yolks, stirring with the help of a spatula with gentle and enveloping movements until everything is perfectly integrated.
10. Now we have the base for our ice cream, which is perfect for making homemade fruit ice cream, in this case strawberry.
11. Add the strawberry smoothie that we have reserved and mix gently and with enveloping movements until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.
12. Now all you have to do is pour this mixture into a plastic or glass tupperware, spread well and store in the freezer for at least 4 hours.
I prefer to keep it overnight so it thickens up much better.
13. Take the homemade strawberry ice cream out of the freezer 5 minutes before serving and let it warm up a bit so that our ice cream balls are easier to form.
