Milk and Semolina Cake

Milk and semolina cake, flavored with vanilla and lemon, this dessert is disconcertingly simple. It doesn’t take a lot of time to prepare and it’s super flexible.

Ingredients

  • 75g soft butter
  • 200g sugar
  • 2 tbsp liquid vanilla flavor
  • The zest of half a lemon
  • The juice of a lemon
  • 2 large eggs
  • 200g flour
  • 100 g of fine semolina
  • 1 sachet of baking powder of 15 g
  • 330ml milk

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  2. Beat the butter with the sugar, add the eggs and vanilla then the lemon zest.
  3. In another bowl, mix the flour, semolina, yeast, then add them to the previous mixture.
  4. Pour in the milk and lemon juice and gently incorporate using a whisk.
  5. Pour into the mold lined with parchment paper and bake for 40 minutes on the second level from the bottom (so one level below the middle).
  6. Take the cake out and let it cool.
