Tasty and Light Homemade Palmier Recipe
The recipe for homemade palm trees, a real childhood memory, here is an ultra gourmet, quick and simple recipe.
Ingredients
- 200g flour
- 100ml water
- 150g butter
- 4 g salt powdered sugar
Preparation
- Mix the flour, water and salt and form a ball. Flatten it into a thick square about 15 cm side. Leave to rest for 20 minutes in the fridge in plastic wrap.
- Preparing the butter Soften the butter between 2 sheets of parchment paper and give it a square shape (about 10-12 cm square).
- Making the puff pastry spread the sides of the tempera so as to obtain a kind of cross, leaving a greater thickness in the center. Put the butter in the middle and cover it with tempera. Weld well and flatten slightly with a rolling pin.
- Wrap in cling film and leave to cool for 10 minutes. Give the first 2 turns then refrigerate for 15 min. Give another 2 turns and reserve 15 min in the fridge Preheat your oven to 200°C.
- Sprinkle your work surface with caster sugar and give the last 2 turns by incorporating sugar. Roll out the dough into a large rectangle (3 times longer than wide).
- Fold the top and bottom of the rectangle twice, so as to reach the center, then fold the 2 sausages formed on top of each other. Cut slices about 1cm wide, sprinkle with sugar and place on a baking sheet. Bake for 20 minutes at 200°C.
