Skillet and No-Fry Apple Fritters
No-Fry Pan-Fried Apple Fritters, a healthy alternative to traditional fried fritters, with a crunchy texture on the outside and a melt-in-the-mouth sweetness on the inside. Perfect for breakfast or afternoon tea, they can be served with icing sugar or ice cream for added decadence.
Ingredients
- 2 or 3 small apples
- 125g flour
- 125ml milk
- 2 eggs
- 25g butter
- icing sugar
Preparation
- In a mixing bowl whisk the flour, eggs and milk. Peel and core the apples and cut them into thick slices (4 slices per apple).
- Heat the butter in a skillet. Soak the apple slices in the batter and place them in the hot skillet. Let brown for a few minutes on each side.
- Place on absorbent paper for a few minutes then place on a plate, covering with icing sugar. Serve warm.
