Grandmother’s cream: the dessert to serve to surprise your guests! A creamy dessert that everyone will love!
Ingredients
- 800 ml (3 ¼ cups) milk
- 8 egg yolks
- 1 lemon (zest)
- 60g (½ cup) cornstarch
- 180g (1 cup) sugar
- 300 g (3 cups) biscuits, crumbled
- Powdered sugar, pine nuts for serving
Preparation
- Heat milk and lemon zest until almost boiling.
- Whisk egg yolks with cornstarch and sugar.
- Pour a little hot milk over the yolks and whisk vigorously. Continue pouring the milk into the yolks and whisking.
- Return mixture to saucepan and heat over medium-low heat, whisking, for 10 minutes or until thickened and bubbly.
- Let the cream cool slightly, then pour it into the glasses, layering crumbled biscuits.
