Ingredients
- 500g medium semolina
- 150g butter
- 1 tsp of salt
- Warm water (150ml)
Preparation
- Mix semolina and salt.
- Add the melted and cooled butter. Rub the semolina with the butter to make it penetrate (without kneading).
- Let stand 30 minutes. Add lukewarm water while picking up the dough (you must obtain a dough that holds when you spread it).
- Heat a frying pan (a crepe maker for me).
- Cut out diamond shapes or use a cookie cutter.
- Place the mtakba on the pan and cook for about 7 minutes on each side over medium heat.
- Serve as is or with honey.
