My Grandmother’s Eggs in Milk Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 liter of whole milk
- 60g of sugar
- 6 eggs
- A vanilla pod
Preparation
- In a saucepan put the milk and the vanilla pod.
- Heat for 5 minutes over low heat. In a bowl, beat the eggs and the sugar until the mixture turns white. Pour the hot milk over the eggs little by little, mixing.
- Pour the preparation into a rectangular Le Creuset dish, like our grandmothers.
- Bake in a bain-marie for about 30 minutes in the oven at 180°C.
- The milk eggs are cooked when a nice golden layer has formed on top.
- Cool and refrigerate until serving.
