Easy No-Knead Bread in 5 Minutes: How to Make It Perfect!
5 Minute No-Knead Easy Bread is a quick and easy recipe for making fresh bread at home. With just a few basic ingredients, you can get rustic bread that’s crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, without the need for a bread machine or kneading the dough.
Ingredients
- 400g flour
- 300ml lukewarm water
- 2 g dehydrated brewer’s yeast
- 1/2 teaspoon of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of salt
Preparation
- Mix flour with baking powder, sugar and salt. Gradually add lukewarm water. Mix well.
- Cover with cling film and leave to rest for 15 minutes. Remove the plastic film and mix the dough with a wet spatula.
- Cover again with cling film and leave to rest for 6 to 24 hours in the refrigerator. Remove the cling film.
- Sprinkle a little flour on a large board, take the dough out of the bowl and form a rectangle.
- Fold the top end down and the bottom edge up, like you’re folding a letter.
- Press your fingers into the dough. Fold the right end towards the center and the left end towards the center, forming a square.
- Raise the board, sprinkle more flour and repeat the steps one more time.
- Put a tea towel in a bowl, sprinkle with flour and put the dough inside.
- Cover it and let it sit for 90 minutes. Heat an ovenproof pot or skillet in the oven to 230°C (446°F).
- Pour the batter into the pot, cover and cook for 30 minutes at 230°C (446°F).
- Remove the lid and cook for another 20 minutes at 220°C (428°F).
