By liliaturcin5

Succulents are among the most widespread and appreciated, and among them the jade tree is undoubtedly one of the most loved. Easy to care for and grow, the jade tree can also be propagated and reproduced following a very simple process.

But this plant, whose scientific name is Crassula ovata , is not only beautiful to look at and ideal for decorating the home. According to Feng Shui, the jade tree is also synonymous with prosperity, luck and beauty, and is able to bring economic well-being to the house where it is located.

Cinnamon method of propagating jade tree

To put it into practice you need:

  • Various jade tree leaves, albeit of different sizes
  • Cinnamon powder
  • A shallow pot (or any container)
  • Universal soil

Method described step by step:

  • First wipe all the jade leaves with a soft cloth to remove all residue.
  • Put the ground cinnamon in a plate.
  • Dip each side of the stem of each leaf in the cinnamon to promote healing.
  • Take the pot or container and fill it with universal potting soil.
  • Place all of your chosen leaves in the potting soil, side up. Just place them on the soil and don’t bury them.
  • During this process, remember that there is no need to water. Just spray all the leaves with water every 3-4 days.
  • After a few days you will notice that the first shoots begin to form under each leaf.
  • Once grown, transplant the seedlings into individual pots so they can grow into new jade trees.

Method of propagating jade tree in water

For this method you need a glass, some water, plastic wrap and jade tree leaves. Follow the steps that we list below to proceed with the method.

  • Fill the glass with water, then cover it completely with plastic wrap.
  • Punch a hole in the center of the plastic wrap and insert the jade tree leaf into it.
  • In this way the leaf will remain above the transparent film, and its stem in the glass.
  • After a few days, the first roots will emerge from the stem.
  • When the roots have reached a considerable size, transplant them into a pot using a universal potting soil.

Both options are most effective for propagating and reproducing jade tree at home.
