Easy Minced Meat Maakouda
Today I offer you the essential Maakouda pancake with minced meat and potatoes, easy and quick to prepare.
Ingredients
- 6 good firm red potatoes
- 200 g of minced meat
- 1 onion
- 1 egg
- 3 tablespoons chopped parsley
- 1 teaspoon of cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon sweet pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon turmeric (optional)
- Salt and pepper
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- A bowl of flour for coating
- Sunflower oil
Preparation
- Wash and poach the potatoes in boiling water with the skin on for 15 minutes, test with a knife to ensure they are tender, then peel and mash them with a food mill or by crushing them with a fork or a potato masher.
- Place the puree obtained in a salad bowl, add an egg, parsley and turmeric. Salt, pepper and mix everything. Refrigerate while you prepare the minced meat.
- In a frying pan, put the olive oil, add the minced meat, grated onion, cumin, sweet pepper, salt and pepper and fry until the meat is cooked and the liquid has evaporated, leave to cool completely aside. .
- Add the minced meat to the potato mixture and mix well with a spoon to combine everything.
- Using a tablespoon, take the mashed potatoes, then place it in a bowl containing flour, coat it well with flour so that you can easily make meatballs without it sticking to your hands, then flatten them. lightly with your fingers.
- Take care to remove excess flour by lightly tapping the maâkoudas.
- Dip the maâkoudas in a hot frying pan and brown them on both sides.
- Arrange the maakoudas in absorbent paper before serving.
