Brown Spots: How to Remove Brown Spots from Uneven Skin Tone and Hyperpigmentation?
Over the years, many of us notice the appearance of beige to brown pigment spots on our bodies. How to remove these brown spots? What are the causes of their appearance? Who is concerned ? We tell you everything!
WHAT IS HYPERPIGMENTATION AND WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT TYPES?
Hyperpigmentation is the term used to describe areas of uneven pigmentation on the skin.
Hyperpigmentation appears as dark spots or patches on the skin that give the skin an uneven appearance. The spots are called age spots or sun spots. Hyperpigmentation is also at the heart of skin conditions such as melasma and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
Hyperpigmentation marks generally affect people with dark skin types more than those with light skin types because skin pigmentation is stronger in dark skin.
1 – TURMERIC
This yellow-colored spice is used in the preparation of a mixture for the body and face, the “haldi” that Hindu brides apply the day before the wedding night, to display a fresh and radiant complexion. It is therefore no coincidence that this spice which comes to us from India was gradually incorporated by the cosmetic industry into its products. Indeed, given its virtues, everyone thinks that this herbaceous plant is an unexpected ally for our skin. All in one, it helps to lighten the skin and give it radiance naturally thanks to its antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant action.
2 – LEMON
Lemon has lightening properties, notably thanks to its vitamin C content. When you squeeze it into juice and add a little salt, you obtain a natural remedy against dark spots. Morning and evening, with a cotton pad, apply it to the spots. After ten minutes, rinse well so as not to irritate the skin.
3 – CLAY AND CUCUMBER
Grate half a cucumber or put it in a blender. Then, mix it with a tablespoon of white clay, and a tablespoon of honey if the resulting paste is not liquid enough for you. Place the cream thus obtained on your skin and leave to act on your brown spots for around fifteen minutes, before rinsing your skin well.
4 – THE POTATO
The potato and lemon juice mask is also an excellent anti-spot treatment for the face. Potato contains amino acids and nutrients that are beneficial for your skin. It notably facilitates the disappearance of brown spots thanks to catecholase, a pigmentation agent.
Here is the recipe for this anti-stain treatment: mash a potato, add the juice of half a lemon and mix until you obtain a homogeneous solution. Then apply the mixture to your face, leave on for 30 minutes, then rinse.
5 – BICARBONATE
A natural exfoliant, cosmetic (or food) baking soda also helps to deeply purify the skin and lighten spots.
To do this, mix it with a little water until it forms a paste that is neither too liquid nor too thick.
Then apply this mixture to your skin, leave for 10 to 20 minutes before rinsing with lukewarm water and moisturizing your face. A mask to be done once or twice a week, no more.
