7 Plants You Must Have at Home

Did you know that certain plants have the power to improve indoor air quality? This is not magic, but simply the effect of photosynthesis. Because these depolluting plants produce more oxygen than other plants. But that’s not all… They also purify the air in your house or apartment by eliminating toxins present inside your home.

1 – ROSEMARY

Rosemary helps improve physical and mental health thanks to its ability to purify your home or office of harmful substances. Its smell improves mood and memory, fights against fatigue and anxiety and treats sleep disorders. To keep it in good condition for longer, place it in a sunny location and avoid overwatering it.

2 – LAVENDER

Lavender is a calming and relaxing scent that can keep you calm and even help you sleep at night. It is the best known and very fragrant plant.

The key to growing lavender indoors is to expose it to plenty of sunlight so all of its aromas come out of the room.

Use artificial light if necessary and keep it in a cool room.

3 – DILL

Dill, which is believed to have diuretic and  antiemetic properties, is used in cooking and in infusions. With fine, airy foliage, this southern plant loves the sun and needs warmth. Place it sheltered from the wind and, if possible, in the ground, but it can also be grown in a pot in a sand and soil mixture.

4 – ALOE VERA

Aloe vera is part of the succulent family and its leaves contain great benefits. Aloe vera plants are perfect for those with a black thumb! They can thrive even if you forget to water them regularly. Place these plants in a bright, sunny location, otherwise they will not grow well. Just water them thoroughly once every two weeks to keep them alive. So these are perfect plants for parents who have a houseplant for the first time.

Aloe vera helps remove harmful pollutants in the air. Like all plants, it absorbs carbon dioxide and produces oxygen. This allows you to have better indoor air quality. Additionally, aloe vera extract is also helpful in soothing burns, acne, and dry skin.

5 – MINT

Mint, ideal for stomach pain, is also a tonic with calming effects. At any time of the year, get an earthen pot whose bottom will be filled with gravel, then a peat and potting soil mixture. As mint prefers partial shade, do not expose it directly to the sun.

6 – RUBBER PLANT

This plant can grow up to 8 feet tall, making it ideal for adding a nice “oomph” of green to a room.

You just shouldn’t water it too often (the soil should really dry out between waterings). The plant prefers medium to bright light, however, so do not place it in a room without windows.
Jasmine

Not all jasmine flowers are fragrant, but there is one category of jasmine which is Jasminum polyanthum and emits a sweet scent at night. For the plant to live as long as possible, I advise you to keep it near a window to receive as much light as possible.

7 – THE CRASSULA

According to Feng shui, this plant attracts luck and fortune to the spaces where it is found. It also has the ability to reduce anxiety, stress and negative thoughts. To encourage its action, place it opposite a corner or an acute angle of your bedroom or office. To keep it in good condition, avoid exposing it to direct sunlight and watering it too much.
