Sauces can transform a mundane dish into a delicious dining experience. Here are six easy and tasty sauce recipes that will add a splash of flavor to any dish.
Mustard sauce
Ingredients
- Mustard (50 g mustard seeds)
- White vinegar (80 ml)
- Honey (20 g)
- Turmeric (5 g)
- Salsa perrins (1 tablespoon)
- Salt
Preparation
- Start adding mustard seeds to a bowl. Add vinegar, honey, turmeric and salt and remove well so that everything is perfectly integrated. When you have a homogeneous mixture, cover the bowl with plastic wrap and put it in the fridge for about three days.
- Once these 3 days have passed, add the Perrins sauce to this mixture and remove well to reintegrate everything. Leave to rest for 2 more hours in the fridge so that all the flavors are developed.
- Pour the whole mixture into the blender glass and grind everything until you have a soft cream. The final texture depends on how you personally like it, if you prefer a smooth sauce without texture, the best thing is that you grind it with a food processor with a lot of power. If you prefer a texture, grind a little less. We prefer a little texture so we use the blender.
Homemade Barbecue Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
- 1⁄2 onions
- 2 garlic teeth
- 1 Italian green pepper
- 3 tablespoons of ketchup
- 2 tablespoons of honey
- 2 tablespoons of tomato sauce
- 1 teaspoon of Perrins sauce
- 1 teaspoon of paprika
- Freshly crushed pepper
- Olive oil
- Salt
Preparation
- Let’s start by peeling the onion, garlic teeth then we will prick everything is fine.
- We wash the Italian pepper and clean it by removing the tail and seeds from the inside and then prick it too.
- In a pan we heat a tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat and add the onion, pepper, garlic and a pinch of salt. We fry until the vegetables are golden brown, it is important that they remain grilled so that the sauce has that characteristic smoky taste.
- Now we add the ketchup, tomato sauce, honey, Perrins sauce, paprika, a pinch of black pepper and we pulse for a few minutes removing constantly. We rectify the salt point if necessary, we remove from the heat and run through the blender until it makes a sauce.
- Our honey barbecue sauce is ready, perfect to accompany meats, potatoes or as a base for our pizzas.
Homemade brava sauce recipe
Ingredients
- 1 onion
- 2 garlic teeth
- 1⁄2 liter of meat or chicken broth
- 3 teaspoons of sweet paprika
- 3 teaspoons spicy paprika
- 1 tablespoon of flour
- Olive oil
- Salt
Preparation
- We peeled both the onion and the garlic teeth and then pierced everything.
- In a pan we put four tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat.
- We added the chopped onion and garlic and poached for 3-4 minutes until they started to take on color.
- Now we lower the heat to half and add the spicy paprika and the sweet paprika, being the proportion to the taste of each.
- We remove everything for 20 seconds and add the flour that we are going to cook removing for another minute.
- Let’s look at the meat broth and cook, removing constantly, for about 6 minutes or until the sauce remains bechamel texture.
- Now we run it all through the blender until it makes a soft textured sauce.
Tartar sauce recipe
Ingredients
- 150g mayonnaise
- 1⁄2 small onions
- 6 capers
- 2 pickled pickles
- 1 cooked egg
- 1⁄2 tablespoon mustard
- 1 teaspoon chopped parsley
Preparation
- We pricked or crushed the onion, capers, cooked egg and gherkins in the food processor.
- In a container we add these chopped ingredients with the mayonnaise and mustard.
- We remove everything well until they fit perfectly and put the tartar sauce in the same container where we are going to serve it.
- We put the container in the fridge until we consume this delicious sauce.
- Before taking it to the table, we put a little fresh parsley on top of the sauce and we can already enjoy it.
Homemade mayonnaise
Preparation
- Throw the raw egg, oil, squeezed lemon and a handful of salt into the bowl.
- We put the mixer at medium speed, in this case speed 4, and we beat gently applying oil to the mixture until we obtain the desired amount.
Curry sauce recipe
Ingredients
- 50g butter
- 3 tablespoons of curry powder
- 1 onion
- 1 cup of milk cream
- Olive oil
- Pepper
- Salt
Preparation
- Heat a pan with a jet of olive oil and add the butter. Meanwhile, peel the onion and pierce it as finely as possible. Add the onion to the pan and splash to taste. Stir so that all the ingredients are integrated.
- When the onion begins to pochar (transparent), add the curry powder and remove well with a wooden spoon so that it is well integrated into the mixture. Then add the milk cream and remove for a few moments. Turn off the heat and put the sauce in a container for convenient use.
