Banana cake: you can’t imagine how good it is!
This is not your ordinary banana cake, but an amazing version of it! The dough is very high, greedy and based on cream; in its softness it hides the fruit, then covered by a crunchy and delicious cinnamon top. In short, it’s a three-layer dessert that reveals different textures, all of which are extraordinary! It will take you just over a quarter of an hour to prepare it, fast and very easy, it will leave you amazed. Even the little ones at home will love it for its round and delicious flavor and for its infinite softness that makes it look like a cloud. It’s almost like something out of a fairy tale!

Banana cake: ingredients and preparation
For this recipe, get:
- for the crunchy topping
- sugar (160g)
- butter (75g)
- ground cinnamon (2 g)
- farina (150 g)
- for the dough
- 3 eggs
- sugar (80g)
- vanilla sugar (5g)
- whipping cream (250 ml)
- farina (250 g)
- baking powder (14 g)
- 5 bananas
Preheat the oven to 160°
Grease a 24cm diameter cake tin.
Prepare the top. Pour flour (150 g), sugar (160 g) and cinnamon into a large bowl, then add the soft butter and start working everything with a spatula. You have to get a sandy consistency.
In another bowl, break the eggs and add the sugar (80 g). Whip the two ingredients with an electric whisk until you obtain a light and frothy mixture. At this point, add the cream and a spoonful of vanilla sugar. Continue to work with the mixer until the volume doubles. Now sift the flour (250 g) directly into the bowl and incorporate it with an electric whisk, finally insert the yeast, turn over with a spatula.
Transfer the dough into the pan, level the surface, then take care of the bananas.
Peel them and cut them in half lengthwise and place them on the cake. Now sprinkle the top with cinnamon, compact it with the palms of your hands and bake for about 50/55 minutes.
a lot depends on the performance of your oven, do the toothpick test before taking it out of the oven and only remove it if dry.
