Bulgur Pilavi Accompanied by Small Kefta Skewers

Here is a recipe for traveling with oriental flavors, easy, quick and delicious, a tasty and fragrant dish, it can be served as is or as an accompaniment.

Ingredients 

  • A green or red pepper
  • An onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • Olive oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 1 tbsp. concentrated tomato
  • 4 to 5 tbsp crushed tomatoes

Preparation

  1. We start by cutting into pieces a green or red pepper (I didn’t have any) or both, also cutting an onion and 2 cloves of garlic, it is important to cut the garlic and not to chop it, the taste is not the same otherwise, brown with a drizzle of olive oil in a pan, add salt and pepper, when the mixture has melted add a large tablespoon of concentrated tomato and 4 to 5 tablespoons of crushed tomatoes Mutti type, let it brown well for another 10 minutes.
  2. Measure a large glass of bulgur, wash it in a strainer before adding it to the whole pan, soak the bulgur grains well while mixing then add 2 glasses of water (the same one used to measure the bulgur) mix and cook covered over low heat, when the bulgur has absorbed the water it is ready, at the end of cooking add a little chopped parsley.
