Grandma’s Tip for Dark Spots

By liliaturcin5

Brown spots appear on the face and body (especially the hands) when you least expect it. These spots can be due to the sun, pregnancy or be a sign of old age. However, there are grandmother’s tips to reduce them without aggression.

Ingredients

  • 1 large tablespoon of liquid honey
  • 1 teaspoon of almond powder
  • 1 more powdered sugar (or double the dose of sugar if you don’t have almonds at home).
  • For the scent, a few drops of orange blossom.

Instructions

  1. Mix all the ingredients in a clean bowl.
  2. Clean your face with soap and water.
  3. Dry it quickly using a towel and dab it on your face.
  4. Apply the mixture to your face, carefully avoiding the eye area and eyelids.
  5. Leave for 2 minutes.
  6. Using your fingertips, without insisting, massage your face. Gently: it’s a scrub, not a facelift… Otherwise, it will have the opposite of the expected effect, you risk irritating the skin even more.
  7. Rinse your face thoroughly with lukewarm water.

What are brown spots anyway?

  • Brown spots are also called age spots, sun spots or lentigo. All these names refer to the same thing, namely skin pigmentation.
  • But did you know that these spots are not necessarily age-related? In fact, they mainly appear on areas of the skin that have been exposed to the sun: the hands, face, neckline, shoulders and arms. These spots are the consequence of excess melanin production. To avoid age spots, the most effective way is to protect yourself throughout your life with sunscreen whenever you stay in the sun.
