3 home remedies to eliminate cottony mealybugs from your plants

When we talk about dedication we refer to your care. This involves feeding (water) and also caring for insects, which in some cases are pests.

How to eliminate cottony mealybugs
Alcohol and cotton.
This method must be done fluently. Put alcohol on the cotton and go over the bottom part and then the top part of the leaf well.
To do this method in the best way, it would have to be done often or catch these parasites in time. This means that with the accumulation of scale insects, it becomes more difficult to clean them completely and if any remain on the leaf they will become infected again.

Soap and cotton bread (Bar soap)
This method is very similar to the previous one. What if: here we take a container with “warm” water and place the soap. We wait for the liquid to take on a certain viscosity and that is where we wet the cotton and rub it over the leaves of the succulents (they are the plants that these pests like the most).
If we cannot reach certain places on the silver with the cotton, we can pour the liquid into a sprayer, and spray the plant and its leaves normally. We can do this by using a sprayer every couple of days, so we can eradicate this pest a little faster and the plants will not dry out.
Garlic and water
And here we will have the preferred method of several. Garlic and water. We cut two cloves of finely chopped garlic, and place them in a container with hot water. We wait for it to cool down.
Once it has cooled, we pour the liquid into a spray bottle again and spray the plant and its leaves with this mixture. To completely eradicate this pest: it is advisable to spray the plant with this mixture about three times a week.
General Tips
- Check the sheets often. Also do it from the reverse. Because: that is where these pests live most of the time.
