Don’t plant cucumbers without this ingredient, it doubles the harvest instantly

By liliaturcin5

To double the harvest of cucumbers, you need to use this ingredient: never plant without it. Below we see all the details.

Cucumber is a vegetable used in the kitchen  and can be grown safely in your own garden. In fact, it is an unpretentious plant and it is quite simple to grow it. It does not require specific soil and care needs, but ideally you need fertile soil and fertilizers to use.

The cucumber plant grows very fast and develops just as quickly.  You must place it in a sunny place and if it takes about 40 days you can get the first harvest  . Therefore, if the summer is long, they can be planted several times during the season.

Do not plant cucumbers without this ingredient

Before choosing the seeds to sow, however, pay attention to which type of cucumber you choose. There are self-pollinated hybrids or parthenocarpic cucumbers. Or even self-pollinated by bees that produce more fruit if planted in the ground and not in a greenhouse.  But never plant cucumbers without this ingredient  shown below.

Never plant cucumbers without this – the harvest will be much larger

To plant cucumbers you have to wait for temperatures to rise. If it is over 20°C during the day and over 15°C at night, this may be the right time. When sowing, the soil must be warm, at least 18°C. Then you can get started and buy the right strain for you.

The first step is to germinate the seeds  . Then take a container and place the toilet paper folded in layers, about 2 or 3. We moisten the paper but not just with water. In fact, the ingredient you should use before planting the cucumbers should be added now and it is glucose powder.

Powdered glucose used for candy can be found in best supermarkets or online. It is necessary to dilute 0.5 grams of glucose in 1 L of water.  Glucose activates growth processes and gives plants energy for germination and development  .

Then add vitamin C for plants to the water with glucose  (you can also find it under the name ascorbic acid). Here you will need less, just 0.1 grams. Instead, it increases immunity and resistance to stress. Then wet the toilet paper and then spread the seeds on the paper. Close with a lid or bag to create a greenhouse effect. Place in a warm place and wait 4 days.

Transition from sowing to soil

After the time has passed, take the small greenhouse created again and there should be some sprouts. Thanks to the vitamins and glucose, the sprouts will all come out and have strong, developed roots. Before  planting them in pots, it is best to wait for a stem growth stage of around 5 centimeters  .

You can then transfer the sprouts individually into cups of soil  . Add the soil, make a hole so you can place the roots without damaging them. Remember not to pull up the roots, but to place them in the ground with a piece of paper still attached to them.

Now that the sprouts are in the cup and the roots are covered in soil, add a few drops of the fertilizer you used earlier.  Place them on a sunny windowsill and wait until the stem is about 0.5 cm in diameter and there are several leaves  .

Prepare the soil by digging a hole about 8 inches wide and placing some wood ash in the bottom  . This is rich in potassium, phosphorus, calcium, iron and more. All you need is a spoon, which you will mix with the ground. Sprinkle more soil and add more organic matter. Then you can plant a cucumber plant.

Remove the glass by cutting and then cover with soil until completely covered. Now you can start using other fertilizers  and choose the one you prefer. Many are made with natural ingredients and are very good.  Wait a little and you will see how many cucumbers will grow  .
