Orchids an elegant gift idea
Giving orchids is an elegant and sophisticated gesture that can convey many different feelings. Orchids are loved for their beauty and longevity, making them a perfect gift for many occasions including anniversaries, birthdays and holidays.
Orchids can have different meanings depending on the color and type of orchid you choose. For example, pink orchids can symbolize love and gratitude , while white orchids can represent innocence and purity. Yellow orchids can be associated with luck and prosperity.
In addition, orchids are a very versatile gift option that is suitable for both women and men. Thanks to their timeless beauty, orchids can be an appropriate gift for various occasions, from formal celebrations to more informal occasions.
This is an eco-friendly and sustainable gift option. In contrast to many cut flowers, orchids are very long-lasting and can be cultivated for many years if cared for properly. This makes them a long-lasting gift that you can enjoy for a long time.
How to propagate orchids
Remember that every orchid is different and may require slightly different care. Therefore, you must monitor your plant throughout the propagation process and adapt care to its specific needs.
If we want to propagate orchids from the flowering branches of our plants, we can use some elements for this, such as the peel of half a potato. It is one of the excellent organic substances that promotes the rapid growth of sprouts.
To do this we must put the bowl with 200 ml of water in the blender, then filter and select the flower stalks of the growing plants since they will receive a lot of nutrients from this treatment.
Then we cut the stem with many small shoots crosswise with a cutter , then we put the stem in a small glass jar into which we pour the potato juice for 20 minutes. In this way, the plant absorbs the necessary nutrients.
Now put a teaspoon of cinnamon in a glass and dissolve it with two fingertips of hot water, filter the liquid and add 0.05 liters of water. Moisten a cotton ball with this solution and rub the juice from the potato peel on the stem placed in the water.
This is to disinfect the plant well . The two ends are then closed with the edge of a candle. Now use moss and place it in a plastic tray. Moisten it with cinnamon-flavored water, squeeze it well and place it in a recycled fruit bowl with holes.
Now we can put the sealed stem and cover it with transparent film, then make holes in the film with a toothpick and place it in a cool, lighted place at a temperature of about 25°.
However, direct sunlight should be avoided. Check the moisture content of the soil and spray the plant with water regularly.
After just a month we see the plant sprouting. You need to spray regularly to keep the stem moist in the same position. After 4 months, our plant is growing beautifully and leafy, both in the leaves and roots.
In this simple way we can propagate orchids from branches and place the plant in an outdoor environment, with its own pot in which we can scatter the moss and the plant.
