Oven full of stains and incrustations: The secret to cleaning it effortlessly and in just a few steps

By liliaturcin5

I don’t have to tell you that oven cleaning is one of the hardest and messiest tasks, but it’s still important to tackle.

A  dirty oven  not only looks terrible, there are also many practical reasons to keep it clean. Old food stuck in the oven can pose a fire hazard and make the oven inefficient. Foods take longer to cook and even freshly baked cakes may taste a little strange.

Whether you had a terrible recipe that made a huge mess or it’s been an embarrassingly long time since you last cleaned it, it’s time to learn how to clean your oven once and for all.

How to clean the oven from stains and incrustations

Today we will tell you  the best way to clean your oven  . We’ve got some easy ways to get your oven incredibly clean in no time – they don’t call us “experts” for nothing!

First, remove  all grates  to expose them. Use a paper towel or old cloth to remove any pesky burnt food residue from the bottom of the oven and, if possible, wipe it directly into a scoop or basket. The more you remove now, the less you have to get rid of later.

Before proceeding to step 2, make sure the oven is completely cold.

Use the best oven cleaner

Now it’s time for a little magic! In our opinion, baking soda is the  best oven cleaner you can buy.  Yes, just so. Baking soda may seem like an inconspicuous product, but it can easily remove grease and grime from your oven. You can spend money on harsh, chemical-based oven cleaners, but we prefer this affordable, natural oven cleaner.

To start cleaning your oven at home, mix half a cup of baking soda with water to form a paste. Spread the dough on the bottom of the oven (avoiding the heating elements). We recommend that you wear rubber gloves and use your fingers to ensure that the mixture gets everywhere, even on stubborn dirt!

How to clean oven shelves

Now it’s time to think about oven racks! This is usually the hardest part of cleaning the oven, right? Well, not anymore. We have a very special insider tip that actually works.

Add some dish soap to a tub of very hot water and place the racks there overnight. In the morning, all dirt can be easily removed after a little scrubbing. Magic!

We’ve heard that dryer sheets work even if you don’t have detergent on hand. Simply place a few sheets in the bathtub along with the oven racks. Leave them overnight and then scrub the frames thoroughly with the sheets. If they aren’t too dirty and you need to go to the toilet, try putting them in the dishwasher.

Let rest

Let the  baking soda and water  mixture sit overnight while you rest and dream about how nice and clean your oven will be.

How to clean the oven glass

Let it do its magic. Now comes the most satisfying part:  cleaning the oven glass  . Using the same baking soda and water mixture as for the inside of the oven, apply the paste to the inside of the oven glass. Let it sit for half an hour and then clean the glass with a cloth.

Another popular method is to use an inexpensive dishwashing tablet. Soak a dishwashing tablet (in powder form) in hot water without removing the coating. Rub it on the glass of the oven door, making sure to dip it in water from time to time to keep it moist. You will see how effortlessly dirt can be removed!
