In 5 minutes I made cannoli and filled them with cream: delicious | Only 130 calories!
To conclude a dinner or lunch with friends in a superlative way, without having to go to the pastry shop, bring the cream-filled cannoli to the table and you will leave everyone speechless. This is a dessert that is unrivaled and tempting so much that it takes a certain self-control not to eat them all.
They will also give a touch of color and goodness at the end of the meal, even more so if there are guests and you have every intention of ending with a bang. Preparing them takes little time, in fact it is sufficient to buy a good roll of puff pastry and fill it with the cream prepared by you.

Ingredients
- 1 roll of rectangular puff pastry (also light) – 250 gr
- 500ml of milk
- 5 yolks
- 50 gr of stevia sweetener (or 100 gr of normal sugar)
- 50 gr of corn starch
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence
What is needed to brush
- 1 beaten egg
What is needed for garnish
- Just enough peach jam or to taste without added sugar
- As much as needed of chopped almonds (optional)
- Just enough icing sugar
Preparation
- First, let’s prepare the cream for the cannoli: pour the milk into a saucepan, add the vanilla essence, turn on the stove, cover with a lid and cook for 5 minutes on medium heat .
- Now break the eggs into a bowl, beat them with a hand whisk, add the stevia sweetener (or sugar), mix for 3 minutes , add the cornstarch and mix without forming lumps.
- Now add the milk flavored with vanilla to the eggs, mix, transfer everything back into the saucepan and light the heat.
- Stir without stopping and let it thicken, it will take about 3 minutes over medium heat , then pour the cream into a container, cover it with the transparent film in contact and place it in the fridge to cool.
- Take the rectangular puff pastry, cut about 13 strips 1 cm thick , wrap them around the aluminum (or paper) cones and place them in a dripping pan previously lined with special paper.
- Once this is done, brush the surface of the cannoli with a beaten egg, then put them to cook in the oven for 18 minutes at a temperature of 200°C , at the end remove the cannoli from the cones (use an oven glove to avoid burning yourself).
- Finally, spice up the cream with an electric whisk, transfer it to a pastry bag (if you haven’t used a spoon), fill the cannoli, brush them with the jam and sprinkle them with the chopped almonds and icing sugar.
