The first vegetable harvest on my balcony is a RADISH. 💚

Radish tubers are not only delicious but also very healthy. Due to their high content of vitamin C, vitamin K and iron, they strengthen our immune system. The mustard oils it contains stimulate the liver and bile and thus digestion. They have antibacterial and antiviral effects and can counteract gastrointestinal diseases.

What is less known is that the radish leaves also contain health-promoting ingredients and, with their spicy taste, go well when freshly harvested raw in salads, smoothies or pesto. But they can also be prepared warm like spinach. 😋
