Instead of throwing away orange peels, I save them to create an effective cleaning solution for my home. This homemade cleaner not only saves money, but also eliminates the need for harsh chemicals that harm both the environment and health.

Trust me, this homemade cleaner is not only cost-effective and toxin-free, but it is also safe and effective on all surfaces and lasts a long time. If you want to learn how to do this, read on.

By reusing orange peels, you can create a powerful detergent to easily clean any surface in your home. Plus, this homemade solution lasts for months.

To prepare it, gather the following items:

  • a spray bottle
  • Salt
  • Water
  • A small plastic bottle or glass jar.
  • orange peels
  • Baking soda

Here’s what you need to do:

  1. After eating the oranges, store the peels in a plastic bottle in the refrigerator.
  2. When you’re ready to prepare the laundry, wash the peels with water and salt to remove germs, pesticide residue, and parasites.
  3. Cut the cleaned peels into strips or whatever shape you prefer and return them to the bottle, filling it halfway.
  4. Add baking soda and water, being careful not to fill the bottle completely to allow room for fermentation.
  5. Let the mixture sit for at least a week, opening the bottle cap daily to release gases and improve the smell of the solution.
  6. After a week, filter the solution and transfer it to a multi-use container or spray bottle.
  7. Now you have a citrus detergent that is perfect for cleaning kitchen surfaces, washing dishes, cleaning floors and cleaning bathroom surfaces.
  8. Store the jar in a cool, dry place for later use.

Enjoy your eco-friendly cleaning solution!
