Mini DIY trap for mosquitoes and flies, very simple to make
There is nothing more annoying than spending sleepless nights due to the annoying buzzing of mosquitoes . Not to mention the biting and tickling. Mosquitoes seem to multiply at night only to disappear during the day.
Strange as it may seem, the ancient belief that mosquitoes prefer sweet blood is partially true. It is the high level of carbon dioxide that attracts mosquitoes, who are capable of sensing changes, especially when you do physical activity.
Mosquitoes are also attracted to the smell of sweat, especially if there are high amounts of lactic acid or ammonia.
How to make a mosquito trap
You need:
- 50 grams of sugar
- 1 tablespoon of yeast
- 250ml of water
- 1 plastic bottle
- scissors
- a plastic bag
- Scotch tape
Mix the water, sugar and yeast well in a bowl. Cut the plastic bottle in half using scissors. The nozzle of the bottle will be the cap, and will need to be turned upside down.
Pour the mixture into the bottle and close with tape, then wrap the trap in a plastic bag and place it in a corner of the bedroom.
With this mini DIY mosquito trap you will be able to spend peaceful nights and never hear that annoying buzz again.
